If you are considering applying to Georgetown MBA / McDonough school of business, you might be interested in visiting the school in Washington D.C. during the summer. You won’t get the full experience as must of the students will hopefully be doing their summer internship, and there are no classes, however you can get a good feel of the building and meet few current students to get inside information.
If you plan to apply in the first round and won’t have time for another visit than it’s a good idea, if you think that you can visit the school while classes are in session I would highly recommend that you wait and make the most of your visit. If you can do both and Georgetown is a top priority for you – go for it.
A rising second-year MBA student at Gerogetown MBA will be on campus to meet prospective MBA students this summer. She will lead information sessions and tours of the new building. If you are planning to apply to Georgetown but can’t make it on campus you can also take the Virtual Visit – a 1 hour webinar with background info plus a chance to get some of your questions answered. ,
Start doing your research on Georgetown – you can either follow the diaries of some Georgetown MBA students and their summer internship stories via the Georgetown MBA diaries, or take a look at this Georgetown MBA resources post.
